Service Description

The most promising opportunities for addressing complex challenges require organizations and communities to work together across boundaries, teams, and groups. However, effective collaboration of this type, and the human potential it unleashes, can be difficult to achieve, often ending before meaningful outcomes are realized. Strategic Doing is a dynamic approach for groups to address complex problems, enabling people to quickly form action-oriented collaborations that create shared value and result in measurable outcomes. As a highly inclusive practice, Strategic Doing moves groups from “thinking, talking and planning” to “doing, achieving and transforming”. Unlike traditional strategic planning, Strategic Doing focuses on the execution, emphasizing adaptability and collaboration. With a focus on “learning by doing”, teams adjust their strategies based on new information and changing circumstances, while also promoting transparency and communication among team members, which helps to build trust and improve decision-making. This 2 1/2 day class is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to use Strategic Doing. Participants will also learn methods to facilitate group discussions and decision-making. Each participant receives valuable resources to support their learning and practice, including: A copy of Strategic Doing: Ten Skills for Agile Leadership (Wiley, 2019) which is heralded as one of the Best Business Books of 2019 The Strategic Doing Field Guide and the Strategic Doing Trail Map.
